What does Metsan Teknik do?

Which machines do we have?
Our Hose Crimping Machine group has five models: MT 11 is portable with 110 tons, MT 12 has 130 tons, MT 30 300 tons, MT 35 350 tons and MT 55 550 tons of crimping force. The Hose Cutting and Skiving group has a cutting machine with a 400 mm saw blade and a skiving machine with 6 dies. The Scaffolding Pipe and Flange group has the Pipe End Press and the Custom Molds group has the Brake Hose Dies.

Which hose ranges do your machines crimp?
MT 11 and MT 12 suit 3/16″–1″ 4SH hoses; MT 12 also crimps 1 1/4″ 1SN hose. MT 30 crimps 3/16″–2″ R1-R2-4SH-R15 hoses and 3″–4″ industrial hoses. MT 35 crimps 3/16″–2 1/2″ R1-R2-4SH-R15 hoses and 3″–6″ industrial hoses. MT 55 crimps hose and pipe up to and including 10″.

How are these machines used?
A hydraulic hose carries oil under high pressure, so the fitting on its end has to be crimped leak-tight and so that it cannot pull off the hose. A hose press does this with dies that suit the hose type, diameter and fitting size. The press makes the connection secure and leak-tight, repeats the same precision on every crimp and is faster than manual methods.

In the workshop the job is usually three steps: the hose is cut to length, its outer layer is skived if needed, and then the fitting is crimped. On MT 30, skiving dies for 3/8″–2″ are fitted on the press as standard, so no separate skiving machine is needed. In the field, the portable MT 11 is designed for replacing construction-machine hoses on the spot.
Choosing the right press contributes to safety and resistance to high pressure in the hose connection and lowers the risk of wear and deformation. Crimping is done according to the hose type, diameter and length.

Which trade fairs have you taken part in?
In 2024 we took part in the CTT EXPO fair in Moscow with our METflex-branded hydraulic hose press machines. Our machines are used in construction, agriculture, industry and mining; at the fair we aimed to meet both existing customers and new business partners.
